URGENT:

We are posting on behalf of another rescue that is in desperate need of help feeding colonies in either Neptune, NJ or Asbury Park, NJ. Cats are not getting fed daily due to the lack of help and there are over 20 plus colonies combined between the two towns. If you love cats and would like to help feed a colony or more in either Neptune or Asbury, please reach out to us in the comment section. Even one day a week would help this rescue, they are desperate for help and doing the best they can. Food will be provided.

Serious inquiries only and please share!

We are looking for an adopter who would love to take in Mommy Emma and her son, Ben. They have an incredible story but way to long to post on FB. As you can see from the photos, Mommy and Ben are extremely bonded. Mommy Emma is very sweet, loves to be pet, and is very playful. Ben is shy, but with a patient adopter he will be a wonderful kitty. We know finding them a home together is going to be difficult, but we hope everyone will share and help them find their forever, loving home together. Thank you!

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing cat dads who fill their homes with love, patience, and plenty of treats. Cats may act independent, but they always know who makes them feel safe and cared for. Thank you for every cuddle, every play session, and every quiet moment spent together. Today we celebrate the special bond between cats and the people who love them most.

Hello on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Since many people are new to trapping, there is always the question of how to recover feral cats after their surgery. Below is an exact image of how we recover our feral cats. We use a 48 inch dog crate with TWO doors. The reason for a TWO door crate is for safety for both the caregiver and cats. We always have the litter box placed on the side of the crate where the door is for easy access. This way the cat doesn't bolt out the front door when trying to scoop the litter box.

We use a transfer carrier (as seen in the image), as this is the easiest way to get a cat back into a transfer when ready for release. To keep the door tied open, we use a string. We tie the string to the side of the crate, leaving a tiny bit of slack for scissors to cut. When we are ready and the cat is inside the transfer, we CUT the string and down comes the door.

We always cover three sides of the crate, as this will keep the cat calm during their recovery period.

If you have any specific questions, please comment below.
Thank you!

RORY NEEDS HEROES!
(Capes are optional 🦸‍♂️)

This is Rory.
In March, he was rescued by two very caring, and proactive folks. After getting him off the street, Rory was brought to one of our MEOW Inc. volunteers, where he was quickly scheduled for veterinary care.
Rory was wounded and sick, as well as very thin.
After weeks of recovery, his wounds healed, he became healthy, and gained weight.
He’s still a feral cat, but because of his estimated age, (between 9 and 12 years) FIV+ status, (and because he is a very good boy), we were able to place him in foster with a wonderful volunteer!
His new foster-mom is providing Rory with a quiet room to enjoy, and all the amenities that any “old-man-cat” could ask for.

Recently, Rory seemed to be less interested in eating, and a bit grumpy.
We took him to see the veterinarian, and an examination revealed that Rory has a very painful mouth.
It is diagnosed as stomatitis, and must be treated, so that Rory can recover and return to a happy, healthy cat’s life.

Will you please be a hero for Rory?
Every cent of your donation goes directly to the treatment and care of our furry friend.
He needs your support!
