🎉 Wow, what an incredible Pack 41 kickoff last night! 🎉

Thank you so much to all the returning families and fantastic new faces who joined us for our first official Pack Meeting of the year. The energy was through the roof, the games were a blast, and we loved seeing everyone dive into the fun together!

A huge thank you to our amazing parent volunteers and leaders who helped make the night run smoothly, and a warm welcome to all of our newest Cub Scouts who officially joined our pack family last night. You all crushed it!

If we missed you last night, registration is open year-round, and we make it incredibly easy for your family to jump right in without feeling left behind.

Hey Pack 41,

Join us for the Eaton Area Community Center's End of Summer Bash tomorrow. We’ll have a table to the right of box 3 on the vendor map. They gave me permission to set up closer to the grass. It is going to be a fantastic evening of games, snacks, and celebrating the wrap-up of summer. As an added bonus - it’s a completely free event for the family!

🧱 Tetris Tower Tumble: Test your skills at our station! We will have the Tetris Tumble XL Game where you strategically stack massive blocks up to 6 feet high on a shifting, dynamic tilting tower.
🎲 Bring Your Own: Feel free to bring along your own favorite lawn or board game to share at our area.

👕 Show Your Spirit: Wear your favorite scout gear to represent Pack 41 while we enjoy the community activities.

🤝 Families Helping Families: We invite all of our scout families to hang out and help at the Pack 41 table! Please stop by to take a short turn running the Tetris game, welcoming new families, and showing our community what Pack 41 is all about.

Hey Pack 41,

We are gearing up for an exciting year of Scouting, but we’ll need your help to kick it off! Here is repost of a couple of the upcoming dates for events and activities available this August.

We are looking for a handful of parents and their scouts to help spread the word about Pack 41 at our upcoming Back to School Nights and the End of Summer Bash at the Eaton Rec Center.

These are fun (and OPTIONAL) ways to get the kids back together while letting folks know we have a local Cub Scout pack and how to join if their kiddo is interested.

The Back to School Nights are:
08/11 - Range View in Severance
08/13 - Highland in Ault
08/13 - EES: Cassy
08/13 - BEES
08/17 - Galeton: Stacey, Jen

And the End of Summer Bash is a free event at the Eaton Rec Center on 08/22 that will have lots of cool stuff going on for the whole family! I picked up some flyers from the office in Greeley that came with some Scouting America compasses to give away plus I got some goodies, banners, and signs from Paige that I can also share if you’re wanting to tackle one of the BTS nights.

There will be an in person Scout Kick-off this Saturday, Aug 8th from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the Greeley Service Center:

🍪 Food!

Your scouts will get to taste the popcorn, practice their fundraising pitch, and learn about this year’s prizes. And I heard they’re going to have the BB gun ranges out!

Hey Pack 41,

Today a couple of us had the privilege to join thousands of our fellow space fans at the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre for a science filled morning with the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Artemis II crew!

Our scouts got to explore the top-plaza STEM fair, watch exclusive lunar flyby footage, and afterwards they capped off the day with a walk across the iconic Red Rocks stage where the astronauts spoke.

It was beyond cool to get hear astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen’s firsthand accounts of traveling farther from Earth than any humans in history! Events like this helps our Scouts to start asking big questions about the future possibilities of living and working in deep space. They also did a great job celebrating Colorado’s massive engineering contributions to the Orion capsule and rocket systems. These kiddos definitely walked away with some special memories along with a hefty dose of inspiration for upcoming space science adventures.

Hey Pack 41,

We had a great meeting on Friday where we outlined some fun activities for the upcoming year and how we’re going to make those happen. I’d like to give a big shout out to our entire incredible volunteer Cub Scout Pack 41 leadership team but individually let’s kickoff August with recognizing our dedicated Cubmaster - Jen!

Why We Appreciate You:
* You spend countless hours planning and running pack meetings, campouts, and pinewood derbies (sometimes with a broken leg)!
* You teach the kids how to be kind, helpful, and responsible.
* You turn every hike, craft, and badge-earning step into an exciting adventure.

Your generosity with your time, patience, and energy help build character and create lifelong memories for our scouts.

We’ll have a Back to The Pack Den Meeting on Aug 25th where you can be sure to let her know as well then as throughout the upcoming year just how appreciated she is. Thank you Jen!

🏔️ Celebrating Colorado’s 150th Birthday ⚜️

Today, our Eaton Cub Scout Pack 41 would like to recognize 150 years of the Centennial State we call home. As we reflect on Colorado's history, we know that our state's truest strength has always been its people.

As we celebrate, we also pause to remember the lives lost too soon in our community: Cash, Cooper, and Jack. We honor their memory by committing to be better neighbors, lifting each other up through hard times, and ensuring no one walks alone. Part of building a strong community means looking out for one another.

Let's continue to take care of each other today and every day. Today, we issue a call to action to all our scouting families: reach out to someone, offer a helping hand, and lead with kindness.

Statement from Eaton School District:

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we share the news of a tragic one-vehicle accident involving four recent members of the Eaton High School Class of 2025 and another individual.

Three recent graduates tragically lost their lives in the accident. Two other young men were transported to the local hospital. Out of respect for the families and at the request of the Colorado State Patrol, the district will not release the names of those involved at this time.

Our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt condolences are with the families, friends, classmates, and everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.

The Eaton School District is committed to supporting our students, staff, families, and community as we grieve together. Crisis counseling services will be available beginning Sunday at 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Eaton High School Media Center for any student, staff member, family member, or community member who would like support.

The Colorado State Patrol is leading the investigation into the accident. The district will provide additional information as it becomes available and as authorized by law enforcement.

Please keep all of the students, their families, and everyone impacted by this tragedy in your thoughts and prayers.
