✨ Glow a little brighter this August.

There is something about creating with your own two hands; slowing down, gathering around the table, and leaving with something you'll wear for years to come.

Join us for our Stained Glass Earrings workshop with Hanna Thomas and create a beautiful pair of handcrafted earrings. You'll get to choose your favorite design and glass color before learning the stained glass techniques to bring them to life.

Whether you're coming with a friend or treating yourself to a creative evening, we'd love to have you.

It's amazing how many people paint but don't consider themselves a painter. They write but don't consider themselves a writer.

Somewhere along the way, many of us begin to believe our creativity only "counts" if it's amazing, recognized, or profitable. If we aren't good enough, we convince ourselves not to begin at all.

But when we were children, we didn't create to impress anyone. We painted, built, danced, colored, and imagined because it was fun. The fear of judgment wasn't something we were born with - it was something we learned.

So don't let the fear of not being perfect keep you from trying something new.

Don't be the person who says, "I'm just not creative."

Creativity isn't reserved for just a few people. It's something we discover by showing up and doing the thing.

You might uncover a hobby that brings you joy, a talent you never knew you had, or a part of yourself that's been waiting to be expressed all along.

In August, the sun begins to soften, evenings stretch into golden hour, and the air begins to glow as fall approaches.

At Preble Arts, we're celebrating the season with our Glow Series—creative workshops inspired by light, color, and making something beautiful with your own hands.

Begin the season by creating your own Celestial Luminary - a piece inspired by the soft glow of lanterns, moonlight, and evenings that linger just a little longer. We especially love that you'll leave with something beautiful you can display and enjoy for years to come. As an added bonus, August 12 also falls during eclipse season, making it the perfect evening to celebrate light and the night sky!

There's something a little magical about stained glass. From the glow of windows of historic churches to iconic Tiffany lamps, stained glass has a way of transforming light and color. In this workshop, you'll create your own handcrafted pair of stained glass earrings while learning the basics of this beautiful art form. It's a unique opportunity to discover a new skill and leave wearing something you created yourself.

🎄 Christmas in July is almost here! 🎄

Please note that Preble Arts will be CLOSED this Saturday as we'll be taking the fun on the road!

Join us at The Star Theatre in Eaton from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM during their Christmas in July celebration, where we'll be hosting a Christmas ornament painting activity before the holiday movie begins. It's the perfect way to get creative, make a keepsake, and enjoy a little Christmas cheer in the middle of summer!

Over the past few weeks, I've had the privilege as the new Executive Director of Preble Arts-of getting to know this amazing organization from the inside-walking the galleries, exploring the studios, learning its history, and preparing for what's ahead.

I am still in awe of what a beautiful space this is, and how lucky we are to have it for the community to enjoy. There’s a lot of people to thank for that. Some amazing directors, dedicated board members, artists, sponsors, and every member in the community who has donated, taken a class, and supported through memberships. It truly takes a village!✨

For nearly 40 years, these individuals understood that creativity isn't a luxury—it's part of what helps a community thrive. We're honored to continue that legacy because art, music, writing, and creativity don't just make life more beautiful and meaningful-they're part of who we are.
