Join Lindsey Purcell and Dr. Ryan Klein in a three day Prescriptive Pruning course held within the Rocky Mountain Region from June 30th to July 2nd in Colorado Springs!

"This new pruning paradigm shifts the decision of which branches to prune from the production arborist to an informed prescriber. It establishes a protocol resulting in consistency between the arborist preparing the prescription and the production arborist. This credential teaches you how to prescribe and perform pruning in accordance with industry standards and ISA’s BMP, which is supported by the latest research and experience."

Our Rocky Mountain Chapter was well represented at the North American Tree Climbing Competition this year!!

Our volunteers, Kevin Perez and Jeff Meyer, were stationed at aerial rescue! Tara Costanzo was making sure the competition was running smoothly! Natalie McNeill and Greg Shepard were strong support systems for our climbers! And Luke Glines, Abby Alm, Axel Avila, and Ashley Fox had the opportunity to compete!

The competition was held at the Davey SEED Campus in Kent, OH. Competitors were given the opportunity to climb, rescue, throw, and swing through spectacular oak trees throughout the weekend.
Amongst the shots of smiling faces and scenery, you will find some action shots of Luke in work climb, Abby bringing the dummy down in AR, Axel preparing for AR, and Ashley beginning the speed climb event! Axel and Ashley ended up both earning 10 points in belayed speed climb!

The excitement continues as we look forward to our regional competition next month in Billings, MT!!
