Tomorrow is the silent auction at The Onondaga Tavern. And as I sit here getting things ready and making sure everything is perfect. I can't help but feel totally overwhelmed by everybody's generosity. We have close to 80 items to auction off. I can't get over how many people donated to baby Lincoln's cause. He is doing so much better. He is breathing on his own without the help of oxygen. His tummy is all closed up. The cheat tubes are all gone. No more pain or sedation medications anymore. He does have a feeding tube now but that is the only thing he has. The greatest news of all is he may get to go HOME in 2-4 weeks. God is good. Please continue to pray for Lincoln. And please come out tomorrow night at 7pm for the auction.

11-1-2017 Morning update: Little Linc had a good night 🙌🏻 once I got here this morning I realized he has lost some accessories. He no longer has the IV in his right hand and he is off the CPAP and is now on a normal flow of oxygen. Once feedings are figured out Alex Markey and I will start all the parenting classes that are required before discharge. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Lincoln is completely off his vent and breathing on his own. He is such a strong little guy and a fighter.

10-27-2017 late morning update: 🙌🏻 I am super excited to share some of the news from this mornings rounds. Lincoln is officially off all antibiotics since all the test came back negative. He has come down A LOT on his pain meds and his sedation meds. Today X-ray showed that he might have more of a left lung 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. That is amazing news. They will be sprinting him off the vent around noon followed with an MRI. The surgical team feels confident that he will be extabated by tomorrow or Sunday. Right now he is doing all the breathing on his own so that is an awesome sign. Today they came in an said he is doing 🙌🏻Amazing🙌🏻 those words are not used very often. God is truly at work here and he hears all your prayers.

10-18-17 (Post by Nicole Markey) Prayers are working so keep them coming 😊 Lincoln’s blood gas came back much better than last night. His potassium was low so they will give him some new meds to help get it back up. They also cultured the drainage from his patch/tummy area and it came back negative. There is a possibility that it could grow something so keep those prayer coming.

It is a very happy day for the Markey family. Nicole got to hold Lincoln for the first time today. She is one proud momm...

This little warrior is Lincoln! He's only 3 weeks young, and has already surpassed more hurdles than anyone I have known! I'm sure a big majority of you have seen his beautiful face floating all over Facebook and have hopefully been following his story! But for those that don't know.......

Nicole Markey had a pretty rough, and extremely scary pregnancy when her and her husband Alex were informed that their sweet boy had a birth defect. Baby Lincoln has CDH. He had to have surgery right at birth, and has a long road ahead of him in the NICU at U of M. There have already been so many scares, so many tests and procedures, and so so so many prayers! Just recently he's was taken off of ECMO and the doctors were ready to prepare his loving family for the worst 😭 but little Lincoln wasn't having that nonsense!!!! He blew his doctors away and continues to prove them wrong!!! 😍🙌 WAY TO GO little man!!!!!! As of now he is remaining stable and staying as strong as possible, but he's not out of the woods, and they have a long stay at U of M ahead of them.

Nicole has been out of work for quite some time now, and is currently at the Ronald McDonald house so she can be close to her precious boy. Daddy Alex unfortunately has to make the travel from Tawas to Ann Arbor regularly so he can still work. Did I mention they have 2 other gorgeous and seriously brave little babes??? I can't even begin to imagine what this family is going through, especially needing to be away from their 2 older children on top of everything else! This pulls on my heart strings for sure, and I pray for them every single day!
