Hello facebookers from the members of the B.T.M ~ E.S. We are not a new organization on the shore. We have already had numerous fund raisng events and made donations to local organizations. And you can most likely point each one of us out in the profile picture by first, last and nickname. Our family has taken a major loss and we are banding together to keep on track with the mission we have for children and families of our community. Our local founder who after retiring from the United States Army to the Eastern Shore, saw that there were things that his childhood home lacked. Through his association and membership with B.T.M of Portsmouth, Va, he invited his fellow organization's members and they started frequenting events on the Eastern Shore. Great friendship were formed and well over a year ago, a chapter was offered to the Eastern Shore. He formed and served as our first president for more than a year of the organizing of B.T.M ~ E.S. After passing on the command to our new president, he heard the trumpet sound. A call to arms he heard. Soldier report to the rear. Very meritorious service above and beyond the call of duty. You trained as well as commanded your troops well. Your tour of duty here is done. Come on home! I have had the privilege of knowing him as family, comrade, church member, B.T.M'er and friend. So on behalf of our president, fellow B.T.M members state and local, we dedicate this page to Larry "Old School" Sample. Which one do you think he is in the profile picture? Old School, we have found out that we don't have enough members to handle the things that you took care of. We sadly miss you but we have many memories. Saturday's meeting was full of ideas, cooperation and participation. We each vowed to learn our office as well as your roles and to continue as planned. So Eastern Shore, we have a Christmas Holiday Social at the American Legion Post 400, Eastville, Virginia on Friday December 23, 2012. Poster are already posted in various locations and tickets are available through here and "BTM" members. More information on tickets, rules, dress and giveaways will be coming. Happy holidays to all. May God bless you, your family and friends. Make sure that all of your friends and family acknowledges and understands the reason for the season.
