We are gearing up for our next event, the Yuletide Medieval Festival, put on by Historic Event Productions! The first two weekends of December, don't miss it!
We will be teaching archery, presenting crafts of the era, showcasing the history of archery, as well as armor, weapons and clothing worn during 1450, and our Archery Tournaments!
We will have a special Longbow Only Tournament each Saturday! This competition will be medieval style, with targets being wood wreaths and wands. Winners will each win a Pacific Yew Longbow! Only wood longbows allowed, with wood arrows.
This Tournament will start at 6:30 pm December 7th and December 14th. You must sign up for this tournament by 5pm before the tournament. Practice & qualifying for the tournament will begin at 5:30pm. You must make 3 out of 6 arrows on the target to qualify.
Our regular tournaments will be at 4pm, with practice/qualifying beginning at 3:30pm, Saturday and Sunday (December 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th). You must make 3 out of 6 arrows on the target to qualify. You must have your own longbow or a recurve and wood arrows, take-down bows must have their metal parts hidden from view. No accessories allowed. Targets are traditional circular targets made of straw afixed to foam target butts. We might start a little early on the final Sunday, so be sure to be there by 3:30pm or earlier on that day.
Winners of the regular tournaments will win a Silver Eagle pin and will compete on the final Sunday for the Champion of Faire and a Gold Eagle pin.
Participants of both tournaments must be in attire appropriate for the Medieval festival (i.e. not modern clothing - any medieval, pirate, fantasy etc. attire will do). Range for both tournaments is approx. 20 yards.
