Orcas Community Resource Center

Orcas Community Resource Center Our mission: To foster a healthy community by connecting Orcas Islanders with services to thrive and achieve equitable well-being.

Orcas Community Resource Center is the Resource Center for Orcas Island. OCRC offers support for families and individuals through a variety of collaborative programs. By partnering with numerous state and local agencies, OCRC is able to provide an extremely broad range of services to meet a variety of needs. To say a Resource Center is a necessity to our community is an understatement. The services we provide to our fellow islanders are, with out a doubt, life changing.

We are excited to welcome Tina Leavitt to the Orcas Community Resource Center team as a Community Support Specialist. Tina brings a strong background in hospitality, administration, human resources, and team management, along with a deep appreciation for the Orcas community she has called home since 2013.

After arriving on Orcas, Tina helped Brown Bear Baking open its doors. She quickly taught herself to make espresso drinks and soon expanded her role by learning to bake, eventually becoming Bakery Manager. She later spent eight years at Rosario Resort & Spa, where she drew on her hospitality, administrative, and management experience to advance from Restaurant Manager to Human Resources Manager, a role she held until the resort closed.

Outside of work, Tina enjoys spending time with family, growing flowers in her garden, caring for houseplants, and creating unique gifts and cards in her craft room.

Tina is delighted to bring her experience, warmth, and practical skills to OCRC in support of island community members.

🎉 FUNFEST IS BACK! 🎉

The FunFest is a community-wide celebration of childhood, the last day of school, and the kickoff to summer — all centered around the Funhouse Commons mission to be a place of belonging and discovery so that every young person on Orcas Island is welcome, supported, and inspired. 💛

We’re transforming the Village Green into one giant FREE party for kids and families with:
🌊 Waterslides
🏰 Bounce houses
🍿 Popcorn
🍧 Snow cones
🍦 Ice cream
🎶 Live music & DJ
💃 Student & dance performances
🎨 Crafts & games
🍋 Lemonade
🍔 Lots of food
…and so much more!

At its heart, FunFest is about creating joyful childhood memories and building the kind of community where every young person feels seen, valued, and uplifted. No winners or losers. No “haves” and “have nots.” Just a village coming together to celebrate kids.

Because we believe:
✨ It takes a Village, and the Funhouse. ✨

Come celebrate the start of summer with us! ☀️
