New to You Thrift Store - An Outreach of Christ Episcopal Church New to You Thrift Store is a not-for-profit resale shop located at 9 Brighton Ave in Eastport, Me. Open Tues - Sat from 11:00 - 3:00 pm;

The Thrift Store provides clothing and small household items at very reasonable prices. The items may also be given to persons in great need and those who have suffered fires. Through the Greater Eastport Ecumenical Association, proceeds from sales are part of the effort which sponsors the Labor of Love Food Pantry, provides emergency heating assistance, holds ecumenical services during Advent an

d Lent, and does other good works in the area. We gratefully accept donations of clothing, linens, and small household items, but PLEASE remember that these items must be clean and in good repair!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Do NOT donate computer equipment (including printers) or televisions! We are unable to test them, so they simply do not sell. Right now, there are six flat screens on our donation porch that will go nowhere unless someone takes them off our hands. Goodwill will take computer equipment in any condition. They will also take flat screen TVs in working order only. (no CRTs)

It is illegal in the State of Maine to dispose of CRTs and LCDs in the trash, so non-working TVs must be recycled. Moose Island Waste Disposal will take them for a small fee. They can also be taken to the Machias Transfer Station or Ellsworth for a fee.

Keeping material out of the waste stream has always been our goal, but unsaleable items are a drain on our resources. If you have any questions about the items we can and cannot accept, please call us during business hours at 853-4222. Thank you for all your support.
