My name is Sarah, and my life is all about dogs, dog sledding, and making a difference. I run with a dog sled team entirely made out of rescued dogs. Each one has come to me over a period of time and each one with its own reason of being surrendered. There are 25 dogs in my care presently as sanctuary dogs. It's for the dog's enjoyment as well as mine. Each dog lives in my home, they are my family

. It's not uncommon to come to my home and not be able to find a place to sit because the pups only like soft, comfy couches. Second Chance Mushers Rescue is a sanctuary/rescue. Every dog at the SCM home is a rescue dog and all belong to the sanctuary. SCM is a non-profit sanctuary rescue with the hopes of one day having a facility that allows foster dogs for adoption. These dogs are my family and mean the world to me. I like to share our journey through life on this page which may be filled with happiness, sorrow, or laughter. Just hope you all enjoy it as well.

As we move into the next phase of improving safety and identification for the dogs, my goal is to purchase Mimi Green engraved buckle collars for every dog here at SCMR for their Fi dog GPS collars.

Many of our dogs currently wear identification tags, but with 38 active northern breed dogs running, playing, swimming, sledding, and living their best lives, those tags don't always stay attached for long. The engraved Mimi Green collars have the contact information built directly into the buckle, making them much more secure and reliable.

The collars are approximately $50 each, and my hope is to find two sponsors for every dog so we can gradually outfit the entire sanctuary.

Just call me Repair Lady Sarah! 🔧😂

Okay, okay… maybe not.

But after a year and a half of a non-functioning dishwasher, endless hand-washing of dog bowls, dog treat baking supplies, and approximately 47 coffee cups a day, I finally decided enough was enough.

And guess what?

I FIXED THE DISHWASHER! 🎉

The true test came when I loaded it up and held my breath. Would it leak? Would it make strange noises? Would it immediately burst into flames?

Nope.

It ran beautifully and cleaned everything to pristine condition! ✨

I am now accepting applications for people who would like to stand in awe of my mechanical genius. Please form an orderly line behind the 38 dogs, who remain completely unimpressed by my accomplishment and would like to know when dinner is.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to wash things just because I can.
