As school leaders & educators it is so easy to let the 10% steal the whole show. Do NOT LET IT! (I also am not downplaying the 10%, they are freaking HARD)!!

The one angry email.
The one squeaky wheel.
The one meeting that went sideways.
The handful of students who are really struggling.

That 10% is loud. It is stressful. It is real.

But here is the truth we cannot afford to forget:

✅ 90% of our teachers show up every single day and do the right thing
✅ 90% of our students try their best and keep coming back even when life is heavy
✅ 90% of our families are supportive and want to partner with us

Ninety. Percent.
That is the real story of our schools.

When we only focus on the 10%, we miss the beauty that is happening right in front of us. We miss the quiet consistency, the everyday kindness, the small wins that add up to real change.

This week, I am shifting my focus and my mindset.

I am choosing to:

🩷Notice the 90%
🩷Name the 90%
🩷Celebrate the 90%

Because our culture grows where our attention goes.

If you are a teacher, student, or family member who keeps showing up and doing the right thing even when no one is watching, this is for you.

I see you. I appreciate you. You are the heartbeat of our school.
