Not everyone can make it to the course on September 28, and that's okay. You can still be part of the Golf Classic.

Make a gift of any size, or text TALBOT to 26989 to give on the spot. Either way, you're helping fund mentoring, tutoring, and college access for young people in Talbot County.

Summer Went Out with a Splash!

We wrapped up summer with our Annual Pool Party, and what a great evening it was! Mentors, mentees, Scholars, and families came together for plenty of swimming, laughter, and time spent together.

And of course, no pool party is complete without snow cones!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a fun way to celebrate summer and the wonderful Talbot Mentors community.

Every year, the Golf Classic funds something simple: one caring adult, showing up consistently for one young person.

Since 1997, that's meant 347+ young people matched with mentors, students getting help with schoolwork twice a week, and Scholars heading off to schools like Dartmouth, American University, Towson, and Washington College.

On September 28, you can help make that happen again. Register a foursome or make a gift: https://ow.ly/5qwQ50ZNoop

The Numbers Are In!

During the pilot year of the READ Alliance program in Talbot County, our goal was simple: help students improve their reading by one grade level.

Our READers didn’t just meet the goal. On average, students improved by 1.01 grade levels! 🎉

That number represents hard work, determination, and the power of students having the support and resources they need to grow as readers.

We’re incredibly proud of our READers and teen leaders, and grateful to our community partners Building African American Minds, Inc., Talbot County Public Schools, and Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center for coming together to make this pilot year such a success.

1.01 grade levels of growth. One incredible community effort.

🎓 Celebrating Our 2026 Graduates!

As summer begins to wind down, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our high school graduates!

We are so proud of each of our Mentees and Scholars and all they have accomplished. From navigating high school and preparing for what comes next to balancing academics, activities, and everything in between, reaching this milestone is something worth celebrating.

Congratulations to Amy, Andy, Diego, Dulce, Gabby, Harlin, Jose, and Maribel, our Class of 2026 graduates! We can’t wait to see where your next chapter takes you.
