I woke up this morning with approximately 1800 words in my heart and jumped out of bed and typed it all out. Here it is. Enjoy.
"I am not enough to sustain me"
Did I wake up this morning with a drink of water already flowing through me? No. I had to find water and pour it and swallow it. Did I notice a beautiful breakfast within me waiting for me to enjoy? I had to find food and prepare it and partake of it. Did I wake up with salt in me to sprinkle on my food? No, I had to find salt and apply it. Or pepper? No, I had to look for pepper. Did I notice a hot steaming cup of coffee with creamer just flow out of me, for me? No, I had to heat the water and put the coffee in. Did I wake up this morning with a car in me that will drive me to the grocery store? No, I had to walk outside and find the key and put it in an ignition and put my foot to the pedal. Did I wake up this morning with the sun in me to shine on me? No, I had to walk outside and sit on the front steps and let warm sun glow on me. Did I go to bed last night with the moon in me to regulate my sleep? No, I had to walk outside and look up. Here are the Words of Jesus which are 100% true. Ask and it shall be given you, seek and you will find, knock and the DOOR will open. Mark 7:7,8.
I am not enough to sustain me. Everything has been abundantly been given to me that I need so I will not perish. I will never be enough to sustain me all by myself. I am very dependent on Creator Magnificent God who thought of and created everything to sustain me down here on earth.
If I partake of all the above kindnesses and generosity and miss one thing...all of the above will never fulfill me. If I do not coat all the above with one thing, I will come up short.
Words are containers. They are filled with substance. What words do I read? What words do I think? What words do I feel? What words do I say? What words do I care about? If I have all the above gifts given to me and provided and do not ever read supernatural words that have the magic in them to GO IN TO ME just like water, just like food, just like the sun, just like the moon, just like salt, I will drift through this life and never be FULL on the inside.
The Word of God is an ancient book but it is modern at the same time. Written by sages from the beginning of time who experienced God within them. They wrote the words God spoke to them. The Word of God is a closed book. A person that does not have God within them cannot under any circumstances understand it. It is confusing to them. It is scrambled. It is coded with supernatural anointing and unction. Jesu Christ is called the WORD of God. When Jesus Christ takes up residence with you, the Words on the pages of the Holy Scriptures will be understood. This is not a religious thing. Religion and Christ are opposites. Religion is God on the outside and the person hopelessly going through rote and and mote and all kinds of notions and potions and rules and laws and ups and downs and pretends and the list goes on and on. Religion is not genuine. Religion tries to PLEASE and IMPRESS God by going through rituals. Did you know Jesus Christ came to earth to END RELIGION? Let that sink in. This is why so many religious folks wanted to kill JESUS when He was here and they ended up crucifying Him and mocking Him because He continually REBUKED religion.
I will summarize this essay with this: When we drink water it goes INSIDE us. When we eat food it goes INSIDE us. When we add salt it GOES inside us. When we breathe air, it goes inside us. When we look at the sun it goes into our eyes and puts Vit D inside us. When we look at the moon it goes inside us and regulates us. When the ocean looks at the moon and when the moon shines on the oceans of the world, the oceans move and make waves. All of nature is dependent on the Creator, too. God feeds the birds their seeds. He makes the seeds. Have you ever seen anyone make a seed? Somehow God gives bees the honey to put into their hives. It goes on and on all through nature.
Here is the Bottom line...God is not in us until we invite Him in. He requires an invite. He is too much of a force to just burst in the door and sit down at our dinner table uninvited. He goes where He is wanted. He wants to be welcomed. A KING requires an invitation. A welcome. He is a King from a distant country. Jesus Christ is the King of Kings. He wants to make you beautiful on the inside, through and through. He wants you to glow. He wants to give you gifts that cannot be bought with money.
Here is the caveat! When you invite invite Father, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit into your home (your body, your temple) something happens. This is what happens over time: Jeremiah 31:33 happens: I will place My Words within you, I will write MY words on your HEART. I will be your God and you will be mine.
Before the invite, you might have found the Word of God offensive. But once He writes it on your heart it springs up in you. How does it spring up in you? After you invite Him inside, the Holy Spirit jumps into the process and when you sit down and humbly and quietly begin to read the Word of God with your spiritual eyes, those words go into you and spark your heart and your heart agrees with what you have read because His Words have been written on the tablet of your heart. It's a two way experience. Your heart is now like a luscious vibrant garden, the supernatural words your spirit eyes read are like seeds mixed with fertilizer sown into your heart and there is an explosion of deep calling onto deep. You get to be FULL. Not running on empty anymore.
The Old Covenant was written in Hebrew originally. The New Covenant was written in Greek. If we look up the original Hebrew and Greek words we are stunned with the depth and core of what one solitary sentence or word can bring us regarding clear understanding and, most importantly, revelation knowledge. There are many translations of the Word of God in the world. Some are really messed up and out of order. There is only one Hebrew and Greek translation of bible words found in Kings James New translation. How beautiful is that. Strong's Concordance is called Strong's Exhaustive Concordance because it lists every word in the Bible and assigns a unique number to each Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek word, making it a tool for in-depth study. While it is called a concordance, it also functions as a dictionary of the original biblical languages. Jesus spoke Aramaic.
Summary, if we have everything given to us in this life freely but neglect the biggest gift of all which is delving into HIS SUPERNATURAL WORD and kingdom (Kings Dominion) so we can know Him better, we will come come up short. We will drift. We will have missed the greatest thrill in life. We will never be FULL down here on earth. Earth is not heaven. It is a practice arena. It is a test. It is temptations. Earth is the good, the bad, the ugly. Can you pass the test? Only if you are FULL. If you are empty within, every test will bring devastation and disaster. If you are full, you will not be hating anyone. You will possess unconditional love. You will also have difficult times and stuff will happen, but you are FULL and God will sustain You and kiss your heart and hold you as you navigate through the not so pretty.
Reading the bible is not like reading the Reader's Digest and the Readers Digest will never make you full. Reading a novel will not stick. Reading the newspaper or google news will never do this mighty work in you and NEVER make you full. Earthly publications have no sticking power and no supernatural abilities.
Note: 47 years ago, on March 12, 1979, around 10 am, I invited THEM in. Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit. They became part of me on the inside. Many religious people thought I was from another planet. The religious folks really did not want anything to do with me. Religion and Christ do not go well together.
Over the years, I have made so many mistakes and was forgiven every one. I have experienced nothing but love from the Three in One and the One in Three. They have loved me, comforted me, consoled me, held my heart, held my hand, held my life. They have given me dreams in the night that I will never forget. Spiritual happenings cannot be forgotten. At the beginning of my spiritual sojourn, I discovered there were 150 Psalms. King David (who was a man after God's own heart) wrote 75 of those Psalms. He wrote all his emotions, the good, the bad, the ugly, tears, the betrayal, his sins, his shame, being disgraced, demeaned, etc. plus his joy and being FULL. He was human. The bible does not hold back on the ugly. It does not gloss over. I began to read one Psalm every day. Slowly. Looking up words in the Hebrew. It was like the most delicious meal every day for 5 months. I started there and it laid a foundation in me. Here I am 47 years later, still full. I have read the bible so much, I can lay in bed at night and verse after verse swells up in me, rises up into my mind. I never memorized one verse. Not once. They went into me and turned into forever.
Be full. Be satisfied. Be overjoyed. Read God's Love Letter for you every day of your life and you will never be the same. Have big conversations with God. He desires the deepest relationship with you. Pour your heart out to Him and I promise He will give you this: Beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness and you will become a tree of righteousness, the planting of the Lord and He will be glorified. Isaiah 61:3
