Another College Hill PorchFest – our 7th! – is now in the history books, and what a Porchfest it was! We had a great time, heard some fantastic musicians, met folks from a number of community organizations, and enjoyed an all-around terrific day with friends, neighbors and visitors. We hope you did, too!
Now that we’ve caught our breath, we’ve got some acknowledgments to express, and it’s going to be a long one, so hang on!
The Porchfest Planning Team would like to thank all the musicians who donated their time and talent to entertain. There wouldn’t be a Porchfest without you being so willing to come out and play!
Here they are by the hour they played, in case you can’t quite remember a name. We recommend you search them out, follow them online, go see them, and support live music. Whether they are professionals, folks who just play for fun or something in between, let them know you appreciate what they do!

Next, we want to thank the community groups, nonprofits, and public agencies for their participation with info tables, fundraisers, and activities that make Porchfest an event for all ages:
The Village On College Hill; Nurture Nature Center; Cornerstone Church - Easton, PA; Easton Book Festival; March Elementary School PTA; College Hill Neighborhood Association;
EAHS Easton Musical Theatre Boosters; Lafayette Refugee Action; Scouts BSA Troop 3, Historic Easton House Tour; Karl Stirner Arts Trail; LaFarm; Easton Lions Club; Northampton County Historical & Genealogical Society (the Sigal Museum); City of Easton Public Works and Easton EMS for their “touch a truck” displays and Easton Fire Department for rolling out their apparatus; and the chalk art guys Steve Schmid and Tom Smaldone.
A giant thank you to all the porch hosts, those who opened their porches to performers and welcomed the world to sit in their yards to enjoy the show.
Our thanks also to all the other volunteers, including “Porch Captains” who helped coordinate the venues, those who circulated to collect contributions, passed out maps, staffed the info tables, picked up trash, and helped out with the myriad tasks that make this event run smoothly.
And thanks to important supporters of this event. First and foremost, The Village On College Hill presents College Hill Porchfest and helps finance it. The City of Easton provides all sorts of support, from street barricades set up by Easton Police Department to have some car-free blocks, to the loan of a few generators just in case, to promotional help and much more! Lafayette College is incredibly helpful, providing print services and use of some of their properties as performance locations. Our media sponsor WDIY 88.1 FM Lehigh Valley Public Radio helped publicize the event and provided swag to hand out. Rutler Screen Printing donated T-shirts for our volunteers. Swift Print Solutions, LLC in addition to being a vendor has contributed to the event. AMEND Industries designed our logo and has contributed graphics work. College Hill Presbyterian Church and Cornerstone Church - Easton, PA both served as performance locations and opened their rest rooms for the use of Porchfest patrons. WDVR 89.7 Delaware Township NJ / WPNJ 90.7 Harmony Township NJ and WFMZ had us on the air to talk about Porchfest in advance of the event.
And finally, we want to thank YOU, the audience! Your participation makes this an event that reminds us why we love living in Easton! Many of you already supported Porchfest with a contribution in the buckets at the event or online. It’s not too late to kick in to help defray expenses and make sure Porchfest happens again next year. Just use the “Donate!” link found on our website at https://collegehillporchfest.org/donate/ to make a tax-deductible donation.
We don’t have a date yet for next year’s College Hill Porchfest, but stay tuned for more information on that, as well as on our third season of Live! At Nevin Park, the monthly summertime free concert series also organized by the Porchfest planners and sponsored by The Village On College Hill and the City of Easton.
