Nurture Nature Center at 518 Northampton Street, Easton, PA, uses science and art to inspire dialogue

Our large, three-story facility, built in 1914 by the International Order of the Odd Fellows as the "Strand Theatre," was one of Easton's first theaters, and it's first talkie movie theater. The building has been renovated in phases during the past several years, and retains original gorgeous interior and exterior features, including ornate plaster molding and rich woodwork. The third floor is dedicated to community programming and exhibit space, and includes a spectacular meeting room available to the community for non-profit programs and private rentals.

🧭 🌠 That was the topic of this month’s Sky Gazers program and participants learned how to navigate using the stars.

🎓 This program is geared towards adults. Families are welcome!
✍ Registration is highly recommended.
It is that time of year when the air gets crisp, and the trees change into a beautiful array of colors. Learn all about this change in season and colors, and where it occurs. Color-changing demonstrations will be sure to keep your interest. After the presentation, we will celebrate the arrival of autumn and create a pressed leaf suncatcher.

Together we can discover what is in our micro-forest and build a species list of this park through a bioblitz - meet at City of Easton’s micro-forest at Hackett Park. No experience necessary!

☀ What a beautiful day to be outside celebrating the arts! On Saturday, NNC Art Educator Ashley Foster and Science Educator Jeff Mucklin attended Lafayette Arts 2nd Annual Community Arts Fair in Easton. Attendees were delighted to create their own nature journals by using local pollinator stamps, collaging various native plants, and adding journal prompts and field cards to inspire and assist them on their nature journaling journey.
