It serves residents 50 and over, providing programs and services so members can lead vibrant, active and healthy lives while living in their own homes. Planned benefits include access to volunteers and discounted providers who can help manage your household, stay active and healthy, and serve your driving needs. Also, social and cultural programs, which will change to support member interests.

Many of us are fans of the free monthly Bach at Noon free concert series in Bethlehem. Following the November 10 program, The Village has a 1:30 PM reservation at Apollo Grill, a short walk from the Central Moravian Church where the concerts are held.

Please contact Carolyn Evans by Sunday, November 8 to reserve a spot. See weekly member email for contact details. And if you need transportation to the concert, please let us know as early as possible so we can make arrangements.

We are fortunate to call College Hill home. Join us to learn about the College Hill Residential Historic District - listed in the National Register of Historic Places on May 1, 1991.

Roughly bounded by Chestnut Ridge to the north, North Delaware Drive to the east, and Lafayette College to the south and west, the district included 860 “contributing” buildings, sites, structures, and objects, along with 70 “non-contributing” buildings, when it was listed.

Trail Planning Update from Lafayette College:

The SmithGroup team will present the final trail design at a Community Town Hall on Oct. 26, shaped by community feedback throughout the planning process. The project aims to close existing trail gaps, provide a safer route between College Hill and the Metzgar Campus, and improve connections to surrounding neighborhoods, regional trails, and community destinations.

The community shared its priorities in January, provided feedback on the initial concepts in April, and reviewed the preliminary trail design in September. Drawing on those discussions and responses to the online survey distributed early this year, the planning team is excited to share the final trail design.
