Academy classes were a fun way for our kids (ages 9-15) to interact with important material in history each week for the past two months. We enjoyed Miss Mahogany’s engaging teaching style with questions and props, graphic organizers, and interesting assignments. My kids have made posters, written letters to famous people, designed an invention, interviewed their grandparents and more as unique ways of extending their learning. Duties are not very time consuming, board meetings are held virtually, and the benefits of giving back are priceless. Position is remote. With the opportunity to participate in person as one's schedule allows, to our major charitable events, such as the historic Just Be You Children's Festival.
