The 102nd International Assembly is pleased to welcome Dr. Cathy Payne as the Saturday evening minister for this year's HEALING SERVICE.
Catherine has been involved in evangelistic and support ministry for more than 50 years. Working first at her local church in Norview, Virginia, as youth and children’s ministries director, Catherine developed a deep love for God and His people, which is evident in her ministry manner.
After evangelizing throughout the United States for eight years, she and her husband, John, moved to Bakersfield, California, where they served eight years as co-pastors of The Church of God of Prophecy. During that time, Catherine also served as the State Youth and Children’s Ministries Director and completed her Associate's Degree at Bakersfield College in Bakersfield, California, graduating with honors.
In July of 1993, Catherine moved to Cleveland, Tennessee, serving nineteen years as the International Director of Women’s Ministries for the Church of God of Prophecy. Catherine is currently serving in her twelfth year coordinating the Global Missions Ministries for the Church of God of Prophecy Internationally. These ministries both encompass mission work and have taken her to more than 120 nations of the world.
In the Spring of 2013, Catherine completed her post-graduate work on a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Biblical Studies at Pentecostal Theological Seminary located in Cleveland, Tennessee. In 2018, she completed her Doctor of Ministry degree at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, in Global Pentecostalism.
Catherine has one son, Christopher, a daughter-in-law, Amber, three grandsons, Alexander, Caden, and Jonathan, and identical twin granddaughters, Ashley and Aubrey.
