Pancreatic cancer can increase the risk of blood clots by causing changes in the blood that make it more likely to clot. In some cases, these clots may not cause symptoms, but they can also lead to swelling, pain or tenderness in the affected area — and may increase the risk of stroke.

Although is currently the 11th most commonly diagnosed cancer in the U.S., it is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths, after lung and colorectal. And it is predicted to become the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths before 2030.

Because 13% survival is not enough, PanCAN has set a bold goal: Drive the five-year survival rate to 20% by 2030. We will do this by accelerating research, expanding patient support and championing a thriving field. 💜
