💙 This project has always been about our community — built by you, for you.

We've received so many heartfelt requests for an "In Memory" section on our clock project plaque. You spoke, and we listened.

We are honored to announce that this section is now available! A donation of $20 or more by June 1st will permanently enshrine your loved one's name on the plaque — whether it's a parent, a spouse, a friend, or a dear family member, their memory deserves to live on.

We are also doing a separate plaque if you want to donate in memory of a pet.

To reserve your spot, contact:

📞 Justin Lowry – (478) 374-0404

📞 Mario Matos – (478) 374-1755

Thank you for making this more than just a clock — you've made it a tribute. 🕰️❤️

As a community driven project, we listen to all input. One recurring concern about the clock project is accessibility. We have taken that into consideration and have decided to relocate the clock project to the entrance of the historic grounds where the old courthouse stands! We will begin construction soon!

08/26/2025

We are pleased to announce that we have made our down payment and ordered the clock! The clock will take approximately 3 months to construct so there's a good possibility we can have it by the end of this year! We want to thank everyone that has helped make this a possibility and we still have a little ways to go fundraising for completion of the pedestal the clock will stand on! If you want to help us (And get your name on the plaque!) Now is the time! Reach out to us for more info on buying a shirt or giving a donation to help finalize this historic landmark!

Update on the clock project: The total estimated cost for this project is approximately $70,620. To date, we've raised $48,178.60 (over 65% of what is needed). Approximately $12,000 additional must be raised before we order the clock. (This is the balance left for the $26,000 clock.) When the order goes in, it will take 2-3 months to build the clock. During that time, the location will be prepared and the pedestal built to be ready to receive the clock when it is delivered. The company that builds our clock will bring it to Eastman and install it on the pedestal. As a community-driven project to remind us of the year the Dodge County Seat was established as Eastman, you can help by encouraging support/donations to make the vision of this "landmark" real.

This is a 3D render of our proposed clock tower. It will be located on one of the traffic islands at Oak St. and College St. This render is to scale and specific detail was given to its surroundings.

Welcome to Eastman Commons, Inc., page, where we can post updates on progress of our efforts. It's important to note that Eastman Commons is a 501(c)3 organization and not affiliated with the City of Eastman or the Dodge County Board of Commissioners. We are a community-driven organization focused on community-driven beautification projects. Our very first project addresses the triangular area where Oak St. and College St. converge (where the old Chick King use to be and across from the Board of Education building). This project is divided into phases, with the first phase being called the "Clock Project". It is on one of the traffic islands, with GDOT's permission. Subsequent phase is the area between it and the CVS, which is destined to be an interesting space, if everything lines up well. Details on that later. If you want to know more details about the clock project, such as the budget, donations made, donations needed, the detailed design of the pedestal the "break away" posted clock will stand on, and/or you want to make an on-line donation to help make this project come to life, visit bit.ly/eastmanclock. You'll also find more there on our mission. (Note: To save costs, this web site is hosted by Chameleon, and please be assured that this back-end web site and all financials that go through it are handled independently of anything related to the home web site, along with an electronic audit trail.) We're very appreciative of Chameleon creating and hosting this web site for us in order to give you quick service and someone available to assist, if needed.) We're pursuing grants for this effort, and grants take time. Personal donations are greatly appreciated. Once we have 50% of the funding needed for the clock, the clock will be ordered, built, and the grounds will be prepared, the pedestal will be constructed (much, much thanks to local volunteers donating their time and supplies already, as you will see if you look at the budget on the website. Check out the website, let us know if we can address any questions.
