Pioneer Valley Power Packs Our Goal is to help Power-Up School Children in our Community by providing weekend backpacks with food for those in need!

The Non-Profit Pioneer Valley Power Packs Weekend Food Program was founded in October of 2017 and began the delivery of non-perishable food in 2019. It is designed to provide children in Participating Pioneer Valley Area Schools with a discreetly packed weekend supply of nutritious food distributed each Friday (or Thursday depending on inclement-weather) at the Participating Schools during the Academic School Year. The “Power Packs” contain nonperishable foods to supplement meals received at school during the week. The weekend power pack includes two breakfast options, two lunch options and three snack options that can be easily prepared. The contents of the pack can vary depending on the food and donations available. The Pioneer Valley Power Packs Program is run by Volunteers and sustained by donations of community members, grants and private foundations. Our program is supported by Western Massachusetts Food Bank.
