Hecate is a goddess in Greek mythology who is associated with witchcraft, magic, the moon, doorways, ghosts and night creatures. She is also the goddess of boundaries and crossroads, and is often depicted with three heads--a dog, a horse, and a snake-to represent her role as a guardian. Hecate is also sometimes shown with two ghost dogs that carry out her commands. Aug 24th Marks the Festival of Hecate. Most who honor Hecate, begin to honor her on August 13th. Which aligns with the dark moon, and the perseids meteor shower. This time symbolizes her descent into the underworld and the harvests of the earth.

On this day, Hecate has already descended into the underworld, and now begins to rise again to the heavens from her wise journey. And as the Full moon grows full, so will she claim herself as Queen again. With new knowledge and mysteries from the underworld. So, we invoke her and honor her, in hopes for her protection for the coming season, and for her new found wisdom.

Pride Celebration was a beautiful day! Thanks so much for coming out and supporting local q***r, neurodivergent and BIPOC artists.

🌈 Moon Prism Art Collective is an entirely volunteer run organization of local artists, dancers and musicians who run their own small businesses out of this space.

👯‍♀️ We open to the public every second Sunday with suggested $5 donations during our Q***r Social to support our ongoing operations costs in order to keep the memberships affordable and accessible to our community and share our work with you.

🙏 We foster a community of integrity and teamwork, uplift each other's goals as a group, and pride ourselves on being a safe space for BIPOC, q***r and neurodivergent creatives.

🔑 If you're interested in applying for a space of your own, we currently have one available and are in process of reviewing applications. Email [email protected] with a little about yourself and photos of your work.

💐 If you'd like to volunteer, please reach out, as we have volunteer options for folks who can't afford space but have the capacity and desire to help out with organizing and would like to engage with the community area as keyless members.
