The White House posted on X that "in the United States military, we leave no American behind," following the rescue of US airmen from hostile airspace. Ken O'Keefe, a former US Marine Corps combat veteran who served in the 1991 Gulf War, responded with a single line: "22 American veterans commit su***de every day."

O'Keefe, who has since become a prominent voice on US military policy and veterans' issues, offered no further commentary. His reply has drawn widespread attention online, with many pointing to the gap between the government's message and the reality faced by those who served.

Veterans in the US die by su***de at a rate around 1.5 times higher than non-veteran adults, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

We’re growing! 🌱

In case you haven't heard, we are working on a new facility at 190 Pleasant Street in Easthampton. This new location is an expansion of Pause & Pivot Farm, allowing us to scale our year-round greens production, offer ready-to-eat foods made in a commercial kitchen, and to host more events.

The location will include, among other offerings, a retail farm shop featuring greens, food made on site and a curated selection of items from other small businesses and producers. And we’d love your input on what to include in the shop! We put together a short survey to seek input on what you’d like to see us offer (in addition to our own produce and house-made items). We're not trying to be a full service grocery store (there are plenty of great options for that in and around Easthampton!) but we DO want to offer things that customers in our area are seeking from produce to specialty items to ready-to-eat food. Share your thoughts!
