Calling all motorcycle riders! 🏍️ Join us as we ride with purpose and honor their sacrifice by es**rting The Wall That Heals in Yarmouth, MA to its location at Parkers River Landing.

We still have space available for riders to be part of this powerful 10-mile tribute to our fallen Vietnam veterans, service members, and their families. Help us give this moving replica the honorable welcome it deserves on Cape Cod.

Every Friday, we wear RED for the brave men and women deployed around the world. For our heroes who sacrifice time with their families, miss birthdays and holidays, and stand watch in dangerous places so the rest of us can live in peace and freedom.
Wearing RED is a symbol of respect, gratitude, and support. It’s our way of saying: we see you, we appreciate you, and you are never forgotten.
To all deployed service members and the families waiting for their safe return: thank you for your sacrifice, your strength, and your service to our nation.

Be part of something deeply meaningful right here on Cape Cod. ❤️ This September, CIVOC and The Wall That Heals Cape and Islands 2026 Committee are bringing the powerful traveling memorial to Parkers River Landing in Yarmouth to honor the 58,281 service members who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Vietnam War: The Wall That Heals in Yarmouth, MA.

Because The Wall is open 24/7, volunteers are essential to guard the memorial, assist visitors, and keep watch through the night.

Thursday, Sept 17 – Sunday, Sept 20 Open Shifts Include: Crucial evening and overnight / early morning blocks. 🇺🇸

Whether you can give a few hours during the day or stand guard overnight, we need your help to honor our heroes.

🇺🇸 Calling All Veterans! 🇺🇸

Join the Orleans Firebirds for Military Appreciation Night on Friday, July 3, as our community comes together to honor the brave men and women who have proudly served our nation.

The Firebirds invite all veterans to take the field for the ceremonial first pitch as they recognize your service, sacrifice, and dedication to protecting the freedoms we cherish.

🕕 Arrival Time: 6:00 p.m.

Veterans are welcome to stay and enjoy the game following the ceremony.

Please help them fill the field with our local heroes by sharing this post and inviting the veterans in your life. Let’s show our gratitude and give them the recognition they have earned.

On June 17, during the first Elks cookout of the season, Veterans Committee Chair Lisa Radke, along with Exalted Ruler Bob Harnett, was honored to accept a $1,000 donation from the Jarheads Motorcycle Club of Cape Cod in memory of Skip Higgins. We are grateful for their generosity and support of local veterans.

On June 17, after earlier weather-related delays, the second group of veterans was finally able to get out on the water aboard the Clinton D with Captain Jerre. The trip was a great success, with everyone enjoying a beautiful day of fishing and returning home with plenty of fish to share.
