Leading up to our next show on July 2 at the 1869 Schoolhouse Museum, we’ll be introducing more artwork by our members that will be featured in the summer exhibition, along with highlights of each artist.

We begin with a piece by Elaine Lobay, depicting the Lancy Mansion in Provincetown. This historic building is currently being renovated, with the front storefront addition being removed to reveal the original 1874 structure.

This artwork will be on view at our summer show starting July 2. Come see it in person at the exhibition.

Today’s featured EPG artist is Jody Shyllberg. Her work has been selected for numerous juried exhibitions, where she has also received many awards. Here, in her own words, she shares what inspires her.

"Light and how it affects form, color and mood are the fundamentals I follow to highlight the beauty and diversity I see in nature and in people. Travel also influences my art. Seeing and interpreting as an artist gives me fresh perspectives on the places I’ve seen and the people I’ve met. I work in my studio from my own sketches and reference photographs. "

Come see her work at 1869 Schoolhouse Museum on May 23 & 24 between 9am to 5pm.
