OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE TOFTA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors of Teeing Off For Tiny Angels (TOFTA) would like to extend our deepest and most sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make the 1st Annual Makenna Ann Memorial Golf Tournament a tremendous success.

This event was created in loving memory of Makenna Ann and in support of TOFTA’s mission to raise awareness surrounding stillbirth and pregnancy loss, provide meaningful support to grieving families, and help ensure that no family feels alone during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.

We are incredibly grateful to every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, donor, community partner, and individual who contributed their time, resources, and generosity. Your support allows TOFTA to continue turning grief into action and Makenna’s memory into meaningful change.

The success of this tournament is a direct reflection of the incredible community that continues to stand behind our mission. Because of your generosity, we can continue expanding our outreach, providing memory boxes to local hospitals, supporting bereaved families, and advocating for greater awareness and research.

Yesterday was more than a day on the golf course. It was a day to remember, a day to come together, and a day to honor the life and legacy of a beautiful little girl who will forever be our inspiration.

Over the last few days, we’ve heard so many people say how amazing it is what we are doing at TOFTA.

Those words mean more to us than you know. TOFTA was created from unimaginable loss, but we’ve made it our mission to turn that pain into purpose.

Every memory box, every conversation, every awareness post, and every person who learns about stillbirth and pregnancy loss brings us one step closer to breaking the silence and creating change.

We’re just getting started. Together, we can make a difference for families and babies who deserve to be remembered.

August 19th is a special day of remembrance, originally founded by Carly Marie to help break the silence surrounding pregnancy, infant, and child loss.

Today, we remember the babies and children who were gone too soon, honor their lives, speak their names, and remind bereaved families that their children and their stories matter.

For TOFTA, this day is a powerful reminder that even through unimaginable loss, hope can continue through remembrance, support, awareness, and advocacy.

Together, we can break the silence, support grieving families, and turn loss into action and hope into change.

Today, we remember. Today, we speak. Today, we hope.
