Proud ESU alumnus and educator Gerard D. Rozea has dedicated his career to shaping the next generation of athletic training professionals. After earning both his bachelor’s ’96 and master’s ’97 degrees from ESU, he returned to campus to serve as faculty and department chair in the Athletic Training Department, where he continues to bridge classroom learning with meaningful clinical experiences.

Through his leadership, commitment to student development, and passion for the profession, he continues to strengthen ESU’s tradition of excellence in athletic training education. We are proud to celebrate his impact through the Athletic Training Directors Annual Scholarship and the Dr. Gerard D. Rozea ’96 M’97 ATEP Endowed Scholarship.

We’re officially on track — pun intended — to making the indoor and outdoor track renovation and replacement project at East Stroudsburg University a reality! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️❤️🖤

Thanks to the incredible support of our Warrior community, a $500,000 grant secured through Senator Rosemary Brown from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, and a $250,000 grant from the R. Dale and Frances M. Hughes Foundation, we are now less than $140,000 away from our $1.2 million goal!

Construction is officially underway, and we can’t wait to share the transformation with you over the coming months. Thank you to every donor, alumnus, teammate, and supporter who answered the call to help create premier facilities for the next generation of Warrior student-athletes.

On D-Day, we remember and honor the bravery and sacrifice of the Allied forces who stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944.

The ESU Foundation reflects with gratitude on all who served and the freedoms secured through their courage.

For Sarah MacIntire ’26, science became more than a field of study—it became a calling.

Growing up just minutes from ESU, Sarah’s path wasn’t always linear. But once she stepped into ESU’s biotechnology program, everything changed. She found mentors, research opportunities, and a community that helped her see her potential more clearly.

Along the way, she stepped into leadership roles, supported fellow students as a Clear Path mentor, and contributed to faculty research that took her from campus labs to national conference stages.

“I realized that I belong in this field.”

Sarah, a 2026 graduate, is ready to continue her work in biotechnology and gene therapy research, carrying forward the same determination that shaped her journey.

Your support helps make stories like Sarah’s possible. Invest in student success through the Warrior Fund before Fiscal Year End.
