Over the past five years, our nonprofit, Colorful Kidz, has met and supported more than one hundred children. Along the way, we’ve also made new friends and connected with many volunteers and donors who help make a real difference for children here. A few months ago, we opened a thrift store, which has given us the chance to hear even more stories, from people who grew up in foster care to those donating a piece of furniture or household item that holds a special memory and want to help a child in need. This is a chance to host six podcasts about good stories. Maybe one of them could be yours.

The fun of thrifting is that you never know what you will find. Our stylists were at work in the shop on Monday creating all sorts of beautiful vignettes. This antique spinning wheel was cherished for many years in someone's home. If you're looking to add antique charm to your home this is an interesting piece. We are open today from 10 - 2 pm at CK thrift is located inside of Colorful Kidz 479 RT6 East Sandwich. It's just a short drive from Boston.

What does a room makeover mean to a child? This child drew a picture of his room and at the bottom he wrote. "My life is much better because of Colorful Kidz." Thank you to our donors. You are helping us help the kids right here.

We find so much joy in helping kids. The girl who's room we just finished we met almost two years ago. The team was so happy to do a bedroom makeover for her. We think it's pretty in pink.

Thank you to all the people who have made our kids dream rooms happen. This young girl loves cats and the color pink. If you look closely the cats in the photos are reading books. We were able to create a cosy reading corner for her too where she can sit and read her favorite stories.

Every Monday our stylist pops in and arranges the displays. This week there's a charming bar full of interesting finds from barware to menswear. Our favorite piece in the shop isn't shown here. It's a small scale hutch that's just brimming with character. It might be the perfect piece you've been looking for, especially since the holidays are right around the corner.
