Build your future this summer with R3 Development’s 2026 Summer Work Academy! 🛠️

This 3-week hands-on program is designed for students currently in school or those graduating in May 2026 who are ready to learn real construction skills, gain work experience, and get paid while doing it.

📅 June 16 – July 2
🕘 Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays | 9AM–3PM
💰 Earn While You Learn — $15/hr

Participants will gain experience in:
🔨 Basic Construction Training
📄 Resume Building & Life Skills
🦺 Workplace Safety & Professional Habits
🛠️ Hands-On Projects & Real-World Experience

This is more than a summer program, it’s an opportunity to build confidence, skills, and a pathway toward a career in the trades.

Last week, three of R3’s Career Academy students, Mykia, Monty and Jayda had the opportunity to travel to Springfield, IL for a Construction Showcase alongside more than 13 different organizations from across the state. 🔨🏛️

Our students were able to demonstrate the skills they’ve been developing through hands-on construction training while showing legislators and senators why programs like R3 truly matter.

This experience was bigger than construction, it was about showing how workforce development, mentorship, and opportunity can change the trajectory of lives and open doors to brighter futures. 💪🏽

We’re proud of our students for representing R3 and our community so well, and grateful for every opportunity to highlight the impact these programs are making every single day.

🌧️ April showers bring May flowers… and we’re putting that into action this 2nd Saturday! 🌸🌱

We’ll be meeting at the Tri-Plex and sending a group over to the R3 Development office to keep the momentum going. This month, we’re planting flowers in the raised beds we cleared last Second Saturday and adding new trees around the office to continue building something beautiful for our community.

Growth doesn’t just happen, it takes time, effort, and people willing to show up. 💪🏽
