🛠️ October Second Saturday Was a SUCCESS! 🙌🏾🍂

We may have been small in numbers, but we were MIGHTY in spirit! 💪🏾 Every task on the list was completed, and that’s what happens when people come together with willing hearts and a purpose to serve.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who showed up, put in the work, and helped us continue to Respect, Restore, and Revitalize, our community. Your time and dedication mean more than you know! ❤️

And a special shoutout to Crosspoint for throwing down on the grill and making sure we were fed! 🔥🍗 We appreciate you bringing the heat and taking care of our volunteers!

Second Saturday is more than a workday, it’s community, fellowship, and God’s work in action.

📝 Volunteer sign-in opens at 7:50 AM

👕 What to Wear:
Work clothes, long pants, and closed-toe shoes or boots.

💧 Please bring a case of water!

🍽️ Lunch will be provided by Crosspoint Church’s BBQ Team!

🔨 Trade Ready Week 6! 👷🏾‍♂️

Cohort 2 is officially past the halfway mark! 🎉 This week, our students continued building their construction knowledge through NCCER training and testing.

📐 Introduction to Construction Drawings, learning how to read and understand construction plans and drawings.

🪢 Introduction to Basic Rigging, learning the fundamentals of rigging, equipment, and safe practices.

📝 Students also put their knowledge to the test by completing their NCCER module testing.

Week 6 is in the books! 💪🏾 Every module, every test, and every hands-on experience brings our students one step closer to their next opportunity in the skilled trades.

🔨 Cohort 2 Has Reached the Halfway Mark! 🦺🎉

Another great week is officially in the books, and we’ve reached the HALFWAY POINT of R3 Trade Ready Illinois Works Pre-Apprenticeship Cohort 2! 💪🏽

This week, our students were introduced to NCCER Introduction to Power Tools, taking the next step in developing their construction skills and knowledge.

Through NCCER, students work through industry-recognized modules that build their understanding of construction fundamentals, safety, tools, and the skills needed to succeed in the trades.

From basic hand tools to now power tools, our students continue to build their knowledge, confidence, and readiness for the workforce. 🛠️

Halfway there, there’s still so much more to build!

Starting September 15th, young adults will have the opportunity to earn their high school diploma while gaining hands-on experience, career-focused training, and industry-recognized credentials.
