Working to create a vibrant & accessible arts community for all ages in East Providence. A yearly Music and Arts Festival.
East Providence Arts is made up of enthusiastic residents of the city working to create a thriving Arts Community. Our goals include vibrant art displays created by artists and members of the community in our public spaces. Various events throughout the year showcasing artists and bringing the community out to support them. Helping create an environment for theatrical and dance performances. Worki
ng with local businesses that provide live entertainment and allow art displays by helping promote their business and the various shows they put on. Act as a liason to city hall to bring to their attention the needs of the artistic community and showing how support of the arts can become an economic driver for the city.

The Department of Planning and Economic Development, East Providence Public Library, Mayor DaSilva, and the East Providence Tree Commission, in partnership with the East Providence Arts Council, invite sculptors, artists and artisans to submit proposals for the design and transformation of the remaining stump and trunk of our iconic, historic Copper Beech Tree on the Weaver Library lawn. The goal is to honor this majestic tree with a sculpture that makes the library lawn a destination for all ages.
This February we are happy to announce that Shaw’s on Taunton Ave in East Providence, has generously chosen to donate $1 for every reusable bag purchased to EPAC. We are delighted as it is through donations like this that we are able to continue to support a healthy thriving arts community in East Providence with events like The Looff Arts Festival, Artistic Lanterns, Gallery Nights, Sponsering Musical Events and more. Thank you for all your support.

At our Pass the Hat event on January 27th, we’ll be raffling off a piece of East Providence history: a Bovicaster.
You might not have heard of a Bovicaster before, so let me explain: It’s a telecaster guitar made from the Bovi’s Tavern stage floor boards. This guitar was made right here in East Providence by Riverside Vinny. Vinny is a local musician, turned artist and guitar builder. Vinny only made three of these Bovicasters so this is your one chance to get one.
Just think of the people who tapped their feet on these boards; spilled their beer, their sweat, their souls.
Bovi’s is no more, but this Bovicaster, it MIGHT be yours.
How do you get a chance at this Bovicaster?
Buy a ticket from Rick Lawson, Tony Ottone, Bill Hurley, and at HeARTspot Art Gallery.
Or, buy a ticket at the Pass the Hat event on January 27th at Stevie D’s, 12-5PM.
Tickets are $10.
You DO NOT have to be present at the Pass the Hat event to win (but we’d love to see you there, just the same.)
All proceeds will benefit the East Providence Arts Council.
