Wow! What a night! To be privileged to listen to six outstanding young leaders. We had Youth of the Year from across Rhode Island. Listening to these young people you can't help but have a positive outlook for the future. Big shoutout to everyone of the candidates from last night!

Congratulations to our very own, Kaden V. of East Providence High School who is now the Boys & Girls Club of Rhode Island's 2026 Youth of the Year!!! Kaden will be going to New York to compete in June for Boys & Girls Club Northeast Youth of the Year. We want to wish Kaden well and let him know we are behind him! Good luck Kaden!

This week we had our 6th Annual EPHS Summer Jobs Fair. We want to some of our local employers who decided to participate; East Providence Recreation department, PODS Swimming, Roger Williams Zoo, Jewish Alliance, Continental Pools. It was nice to see all of the students actively engaging.

Its great moments like these when we get to celebrate are amazing club teens at our Youth of the year event! Our Rozaria came back to host! Congratulations to Kaden our 2026 Youth of the Year. Congratulations to Audrey our first ever Junior Youth of the Year. Big shout to all of our finalist; Isaac, Camilla, Casey!! Thank you to our local sponsors and event sponsor Global Partners and Uri Molina, firefighters and Gregg Dubee, and of course our board and board chair Aaron Wurst. Thank you to Bob DaSilva, East Providence Mayor for stopping by to say few words and our local elected officials in attendance. Thank you to our community partners. A chance for 8th graders to sit in on group meetings to see if they are interested in participating. This only happens a couple times a year. The teens leading the group will take a few moments during their regular meeting to introduce themselves and explain what their group is about.

Rewind to Remind
6pm-8pm
Student advocacy group focused on textile recycling and over consumption. Last summer the group traveled to Washington, DC and participated in Summit for America’s Youth. They got an opportunity to speak about their project on Capitol Hill.

Wednesday 3/18
Keystone
6pm-8pm
The Boys & Girls club ultimate teen program focused on community service, teen Engagement, and career/education exploration. They have summer jobs, do community service, and put together social events for the teens.

This weekend Boys & Girls Club of East Providence got an opportunity to play in the first RI Boys & Girls Club March Madness basketball tournament in Pawtucket.
