Description
New York Bully Crew is a 501c3 not-for-profit rescue organization founded in December 2010. We specialize in rescuing Pitbulls, however no animal in dire need of rescue is turned away. NYBC strives to bring positive attention to the most loyal breed one could encounter, and give second chances to those who have been discarded by humans simply because of what they are…a Pitbull. Finding

loving and responsible homes for each and every rescue is our main objective. We at NYBC firmly believe that there are NO bad dogs, just bad owners, and educating the public is a must if the bully breeds are to have a chance of survival in today’s society. Aside from rehabilitating and placing our rescues in a safe environment, another priority for the NYBC is to inform the public of the despicable acts against Pitbulls that go on everyday. Dog fighting, and the cruelties associated with it, is a huge problem in the world of Pitbulls. This horrific “sport” can alter a dog’s wonderful temperament into a fearful, scarred, possibly aggressive animal that can be viewed as a danger and threat to society. At no fault of their own, these loving, intelligent, athletic and incredibly loyal dogs are being prosecuted by the masses, when the real culprits are the people who put them in these horrible situations. Unfortunately, these circumstances have many dogs finding themselves in kill shelters that utilize inhumane methods of euthanasia. This dreadful situation is compounded by negative attention in the media. Because of this, we will continue to advocate for the breed, and educate the public about these issues. New York Bully Crew will assist in all phases of rescue. Please do not hesitate to contact us in regards to any form of abuse or neglect, regardless of breed. NYBC is on Facebook, Twitter and iGive (we will receive a percentage of your sale as a donation at hundreds of retailers when you shop through iGive). We would love nothing more than for our blind Koa to finally find a home of his own, something he’s never had before.

Koa’s story is heartbreaking. He was cruelly used as a “hog dog,” forced to fight wild boars. He was mauled, neglected, and starved, yet somehow, he survived.

Despite everything he’s endured, Koa is ready to trust again.

Given everything he’s been through, and being special needs, it can take Koa a little time to adjust. But once he does, the bond you’ll build will be truly unbreakable, and worth every moment of patience.

Having a blind dog is no different than having a seeing one.

Yes, there are small adjustments at first, but the love, loyalty, and gratitude they give in return make it more than worth it.

🤍 Koa deserves to know what love feels like. Will you be the first family he’s ever had?

If you’re ready to open your heart and home, please fill out an adoption application at www.nybullycrew.org or click the link in our bio.

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗬𝗕𝗖, we have had no choice but to put our food and veterinary expenses on the NYBC American Express card.

Today, that balance sits at nearly $𝟭𝟲,𝟬𝟬𝟬.

This includes food for nearly 50 dogs, heartworm treatment, veterinary appointments, and ongoing medical care for the dogs who call NYBC home.

The reality is that our food supplies are starting to run low, and the NYBC AMEX is maxed out.

We contacted AMEX hoping to increase our available credit so we could continue purchasing food and medical supplies for the dogs, but we were denied.

Right now, we need to begin paying down these expenses, as if another emergency emerge, we won’t be able to afford it.

We need food, medications and veterinary care.

And we need your help to make sure none of those things stop.

This is exactly why our mission is so important.

Last week, Tyson went into a foster-to-adopt home.

Tyson has been with us for over three years due to a bite history and behavioral issues. In many shelters or rescues, Tyson would have been euthanized on the spot.

Instead, Tyson was given a second chance.

Because we are able to safely house dogs long-term, work with them, and advocate for them, Tyson finally got the chance he deserved.

This is why our rescue matters.

This is why our future sanctuary matters.

This is why we continue fighting for dogs that have been overlooked, labeled, or given up on.

Every bag of food, every veterinary bill, every medication, and every day of care helps make stories like Tyson’s possible.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve already raised over $𝟭,𝟴𝟬𝟬 toward these expenses, and we are incredibly grateful.

But we still have a long way to go.

If you’re able to help, please consider making a donation today. Every dollar helps us continue caring for the dogs who need us most and gives more dogs like Tyson the chance they’ve been waiting for.

Thank you for believing in our mission, our dogs, and the future of NYBC.

🐶 We rescued 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗼 two years ago, after he was found emaciated in the streets, with a gaping open wound on his head.

After being hospitalized, Paco has now fully recovered and he is ready to find his wonderful new life.

Paco can be shy at first, but when you get to know him, you will rapidly realize that he is a happy and active little fellow. He is full of energy, and would do superbly with an active family.

If you love to walk, hike, and play, Paco would certainly be the perfect little guy.

He also loves other dogs, which is a bonus to his awesome personality.

If you are interested in meeting Paco, fill out an application on our website www.nybullycrew.org, or click the link in our bio.

We can tell 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗺𝗲𝗿 certainly did! 🤍

Wilmer is one of Parker’s puppies. Last summer, in the middle of a hurricane, we rescued Parker after she was dumped outside while heavily pregnant.

Thankfully, Wilmer never had to know that life.

He was born safe, warm, and loved in a home. And in the end, he never had to leave it.

Caitlyn stepped up for Parker and her puppies when they needed her most, and somewhere along the way, Wilmer made it clear he was already home. 🐾

Stories like Wilmer’s remind us why we do what we do. From a pregnant mama abandoned during a storm to a puppy living his best beach life, this is exactly the happy ending we hope for.

Thank you, Caitlyn, for giving Parker and her babies the future they deserved. ❤️

𝗧𝘆𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴!

Sometimes, things come full circle in ways you never expect.

About ten years ago, a young boy adopted two dogs from NYBC. Fast forward a decade, that same boy, now a young man, applied for a job at the rescue.

After he was hired and had already proven himself to be an incredible member of our team, he shared something with Craig. Working at NYBC had been a dream of his for years, and he was actually one of our adopters. He even had a photo of himself as an 8 year old child with the dogs he adopted from us all those years ago.

Over time, while working at the rescue, he developed a special bond with Tyson.

As many of you know, Tyson’s journey has not been an easy one. He has experienced neglect, trauma, setbacks, and heartbreak. Because of his past, Tyson needs someone who understands his boundaries, respects his space, and is willing to let trust develop on Tyson’s terms.

After getting to know Tyson and understanding his history, he asked Craig if he could bring Tyson home.

And so far… Tyson is doing wonderfully.

He has settled in with the family, is doing well with the resident dogs, and most importantly, his boundaries are being respected. Everyone is taking things at Tyson’s pace and giving him exactly what he needs to succeed.

This is exactly why we keep dogs like Tyson alive.

Many dogs with behavioral challenges never get the opportunity Tyson has today. But we believe every dog deserves a chance, and that there is a home out there for every dog, we just have to find it.

Tyson is proof of that.

This is why completing our future sanctuary is so important. It will allow us to give more dogs the time they need and create more success stories just like Tyson’s 🖤

𝗔 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗔 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 ❤️

When Kazan arrived at the Miami shelter in April 2024, his future looked devastatingly short.

He had osteosarcoma; bone cancer.

To save his life, his leg had to be amputated. Most dogs never get a second chance after a diagnosis like that… but Kazan did.

A vet tech involved in his care fell in love with him and stepped up to foster him while he recovered. That one act of kindness changed everything for him.

Because today?

𝗞𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. 🤍

He has continued to thrive, love life, and prove everyone wrong. He runs around happily on three legs, adores people, loves other dogs, and has become such a symbol of resilience and hope.

He truly is a miracle dog.

💔 But heartbreak has struck again.

Due to a serious illness within his foster family, they can no longer keep Kazan. This is not a choice they wanted to make, and we know how deeply loved he is.

Now, this incredible boy urgently needs a new foster or forever home in either South Florida or New York.

After everything Kazan has survived, we desperately want to keep him from losing the stability and love he finally found.

Please help us give this boy the future he fought so hard for.
