So when the club members got to the church Sunday morning there was a package under the tree with this young boys name on it. So we contacted the family to bring him into the layout one more time before it was taken down for the year. Over the past 3 years we’ve done the layout he’s spent hours watching the trains and even running the members trains by remote. Every year the family brings in lots of toys for our toy drive to hopefully win the new train set we give away and unfortunately it hasn’t happened. So Santa made a special trip from the North Pole with a gift for him. It’s important to do our best as a club to get the youth involved and the smile on his face along with everyone who attended makes every second of all the work worth it. I’ve heard that he’s already almost worn the wheels off the loco. 🤣
