Good evening, all. "The Moment" invites a moment of reflection and remembrance tonight. I hope that your Memorial Day was just that: memorable, thoughtful, and peaceful. While I will not go live tonight, we do want to give a word of encouragement. Hopefully, these words will comfort someone as you progress through this day and through life. Remember, I love you to life, and I want you to live!
We always talk about the birds flying south for the winter…
But we rarely stop to talk about them coming back.
Every year, they leave one season to survive another.
They move when the environment changes.
They adjust when conditions become harsh.
And somehow, after enduring storms, distance, cold, and uncertainty… they return.
Why?
Because movement was never meant to become abandonment.
There was always a season ahead calling them back home.
And maybe that’s the beauty of movement that we often miss.
Sometimes, as God’s creation, we go through seasons where we feel the need to pull away, regroup, heal, survive, or simply breathe. We may feel emotionally, spiritually, or mentally distant. Life changes us. Pain changes us. Pressure changes us.
But just like those birds, there is something inside of us that still longs for the place where life can grow again.
The birds return because the season changes.
Because what once was barren becomes fruitful again.
Because warmth returns.
Because life begins to bloom.
And spiritually, isn’t that what Christ does for us?
There are seasons where we wander, seasons where we struggle, seasons where we feel cold, tired, or disconnected. Yet Christ continually calls us back—not just to a place, but to relationship, purpose, and life.
“For the winter is past… the flowers appear on the earth.” — Song of Solomon 2:11-12
God designed creation to move in rhythms, not remain stuck.
And sometimes the proof of growth is not that you never left a difficult place…
But that you knew when it was time to return.
Return to peace.
Return to purpose.
Return to healing.
Return to God.
Maybe this season is not about staying where you were.
Maybe it’s about recognizing that something in you is being called back to life again.
Be blessed always
