African American Fund of New Jersey Our primary goal is to enable individuals to help themselves to create a better sense of self-worth, a better self-identity and ultimately, self-sufficiency.

The African American Fund – formerly known as the Black United Fund of NJ – is a non-profit organization which actively supports and promotes programs to enhance the interest, welfare, education and social development of the African American community in New Jersey. The AAFNJ is the parent organization to Black United Fund/Health and Human Services (BUF/HHS) which provides pre-school services to over 320 children in the city of Plainfield, NJ.
