As families prepare for the new school year, something as simple as clean clothes can help a student walk into the classroom with confidence, pride, and a renewed sense of possibility.

That's why the Ted R. Green Foundation is proud to partner with A's Laundromat and Dirty Laundry Express to launch Fresh Start: Clean Clothes. Confident Students.

Through this initiative, participating students will receive one complimentary wash and one complimentary dry to help them begin the school year feeling prepared and ready to learn.

The Ted R. Green Foundation and ShopRite of East Orange came together once again to host their 4th Annual Holiday Party on Tuesday, December 16, creating a joyful evening for more than 100 East Orange children and their families.

This year’s celebration was made possible through the generous support of Village Super Market and the SUMAS Family Foundation, whose commitment to hands-on commitment continues to make moments like this possible.

The night kicked off with Santa arriving by fire truck, instantly setting the holiday tone. A DJ kept the energy high with festive hits and a Cha Cha Slide that brought everyone to the dance floor, while a gaming truck outside quickly became a favorite. ShopRite gift cards were raffled off throughout the evening, adding to the excitement.

Children moved through interactive stations including a photo booth, jumbo Connect Four, jumbo Jenga, cupcake decorating, arts and crafts, reindeer ring toss, sack toss, and a fidget spinner wall. Hot cocoa and cookies added a cozy touch, and visits from Santa and Mr. and Mrs. Grinch brought nonstop smiles. Dinner was served in the cafeteria, giving families time to relax and enjoy the night together.

Each child went home with gifts from both the SUMAS Family Foundation and the Ted R. Green Foundation, reinforcing the shared goal of making every child feel seen and supported.

“As the years go by, I’ve grown to truly look forward to this time,” said June Green, President of the Ted R. Green Foundation. “Shopping and packing gifts for over 100 children is soul-filling, especially alongside my sister and close friends. The SUMAS Family Foundation shows up in a real way, and I’m grateful to mirror that same dedication to our children.”
