NENA can provide a sounding board, guidance, and the strength of our 500+ member households when you have an idea or concern about making our neighborhood safer, cleaner, or more pleasant. For example, if you've noticed fast traffic on your block, you are welcome to bring your complaint to the NENA board and we will direct you to the City's Neighborhood Traffic Management Program. NENA is not a homeowners' association, so we cannot enforce codes or covenants, build speed bumps or sidewalks (but we know how you can take a leadership role in projects like these). Members of the NENA board are volunteers who are invested in our neighborhood and give their time to keep this organization going; they cannot turn your ideas into reality without your leadership! How do I become a NENA member? If you're interested in specific issues affecting our neighborhood, would like to help NENA accomplish current goals, or lead NENA in new directions, please consider joining us! However, those who can afford it are welcome to contribute more. We are in the process of setting up our Paypal account to allow you to sign up and pay online.
