On Sunday 127 Juniorโ€™s gathered at Hicksville Station 3 for their annual BBQ summer meeting. We handed out 2 scholarships to Hicksville and Seaford juniors. Executive director John Rottcamp was present to hand out the ceremonial Red graduation chords to all the departments who have graduating seniors. During the moment of silence they paused in remembrance of D-Day that took place just a day before, 82 years ago. ๏ฟผ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Today 17 teams across Nassau and Suffolk competed in the second annual junior firefighter challenge to benefit the Nassau County Burn Center. They competed in six different events. ๏ฟผ 1st Place, Franklin Square Juniors, 2nd๏ฟผ place, New Hyde Park Juniors, 3rd Place, Bethpage Juniors. Today, 28 juniors from across Nassau County participated in our first 2026 single-day training of thermal imaging cameras, aerial ladder operations, and an added evolution of hose line operations. Thank you to the FSA Academy and their instructors for a great day.๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ”ฅ

Today, 81 girls from Nassau and Suffolk participated in the 2nd Youth Females in the Fire Service Day. The day started off with four prominent Nassau County Chiefs speaking about their trail to the chief's office. FSA Chief Kristin Rhine, Baldwin Chief Karen Bendel, Lakeview Chief Heather Senti, and East Norwich Chief Jessica Crowley. Chief Bendel also presented a class on leadership in your juniors class. After lunch all of the girls participated in 3 evolutions. EMS Train MCI, Vehicle Extraction and Extinguishers. We would like to thank all the Chiefs and FSA Academy staff for making this day possible.๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš‘๏ฟผ.
