This week the Hebrew School students learned all about the upcoming holiday of Shavuot 🌸. They decorated beautiful vases filled with colorful sand and bouquets of flowers. They learned about the receiving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and highlighted some of the special mitzvot from the Torah, including honoring our parents and speaking positively about others (Lashon Tov). It was another amazing week of learning and fun at Hebrew School!

Celebrate Shavuot, the holiday that commemorates the giving of the Torah, with Rabbi Portnoy and Rabbi Turk!

Enjoy wine, cheese, fruit, and an inspiring discussion.

Our preschoolers at CLC have been learning all about community helpers, and we’ve had some amazing visitors! 👮‍♂️🚒📬

Mailman Ray stopped by to show us how he delivers the mail, Firefighter Chief Jim visited with a fire truck, and officers from the 1st Precinct came to teach us about staying safe and helping our community.

At CLC, we love giving our students rich hands on experiences that bring learning to life 💫
