As a result of receiving contributions from runners who participated in the Long Island Marathon this past May, The Nassau Parks Conservancy arranged for 15 trees to be planted at Wantagh County Park. In 2024 The Conservancy had 10 Trees and 1 Memorial Tree planted at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. A Thank You to the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation & Museums for their collaboration in this effort. Special Thank You to Paul Rut and team for selecting and planting the trees.

Cantiague Park - New Hockey Scoreboard

The Nassau County Police Department EMS and the Nassau County Department of Health have 9 medical stations across the course and at the finish line of the Jovia Financial Credit Union Long Island Marathon Weekend. There are also roaming EMS officers throughout the course featured here in this photo.

It takes a tremendous amount of support to make an event of this size happen. When you are out on the course and you see a volunteer handing out water, a police officer directing traffic, a medical station full of EMS staff, or your family and friends cheering you on be sure the say THANK YOU!
