As the new school year begins, WA art teacher and alumna Shaina Walker ’16 is bringing new experience to the classroom after completing an AP Art and Design course through APSI Online at Southern California in August

The training covered AP portfolio scoring, rubrics, and student examples. Shaina also completed her own mini sustained investigation, experiencing the course from a student’s perspective while creating original artwork.

Mrs. Walker is now certified to teach all three levels of AP Art and Design. She will teach AP Art and Design at Washington Academy during the spring semester.
