joined Professional Fire Fighters of Maine and other brother and sister federal labor leaders in Augusta yesterday! We testified in support of L.D. 2102 - An Act to Clarify and Strengthen the Government Shutdown Loan Guarantee Program. This change to the established law should entice other financial institutions to voluntarily offer this program to state and federal employees during government shutdowns. Federal firefighters and workers at NSA Cutler and across Maine deserve real safeguards so no one faces financial hardship during unnecessary government shutdowns. This program provides critical interest-free loans backed by the state, helping us focus on our mission of protecting national security without worrying about bills or basics.

Grateful for PFFMaine's leadership and to everyone advocating for fair treatment of public safety and federal employees.
