Annie - Story of a « Buried Dream »

If you watched the previous video, you will have understood that our adventure began in 1981… when Dr. Mouret, a psychiatrist and friend, was surprised to notice, in the vast majority of cases, the striking correlation that sometimes existed between the symbols drawn by patients in his hospital and the titles of songs (which they did not know).

In 2021, we decided to launch Open Sessions, at the instigation of a consultant and friend. The aim was to support a group of women, some of whom had advanced breast cancer.
I never thought we would be able to create such a secure, contained virtual place remotely. And yet that is what happened.

I would like to share with you the particularly moving experience of one of them, Annie. It perfectly illustrates how music, even if you know nothing about it, can resonate with your inner music in such a precise way that it triggers a phenomenon of self-healing.

Without going into too much detail in this post, it is, quite simply, a verification of C.G. Jung's theory that activated unconscious archetypes trigger a self-healing phenomenon!

Catharsis Application Program (CAP) is a Psycho-Emotional Therapy blending music listening and graphic expression to access and resolve deep emotions.

The development of CAP is rooted in the field of psychiatry.
Since its inception, we have had the honor and privilege to work with senior professionals who are part of a great chain of innovative and passionate human researchers. Their lives have been dedicated to the service of an evolutionary ideal. We pay tribute to these remarkable individuals.

Thanks to the contribution of these leading psychiatrists, this approach was built on a robust foundation, enabling its effective application across diverse areas of mental health and across all age groups.

CAP represents a definitive paradigm shift in Mental Health treatment, moving beyond the limitations of traditional discourse into the profound "space before words." This artistic mediation is not a contemporary experiment but the result of a rigorous, 45-year longitudinal clinical evolution.

For today’s practitioners, more than four decades of practice represent a powerful marker of trust and distinction. This long-standing history reflects a framework that has been continuously refined and validated through an unbroken lineage of psychiatric endorsement, extending well beyond psychiatry alone.

Clinical psychologists, speech therapists, and a wide range of institutions, including retirement homes, rehabilitation centers for disabled workers, youth-at-risk programs, and institutes for the deaf and hard of hearing, have all played a role in affirming the clinical value of this artistic mediation.

Unlock a new dimension of healing and differentiate your practice. Learn the CAP method directly from its co-creator, Chantal Desmoulins, Educator & Trainer at the Orpheus Institute. Contact her to take the next step: https://www.planet-cap-pro.com/landingpage/

For 45 years, Catharsis Application Program (CAP) has established itself as a therapeutic methodology whose relevance and remarkable effectiveness in treating trauma, at all stages of life, have been validated by more than four decades of clinical practice.

This anniversary is an opportunity to summarize the foundations of an approach that has helped thousands of people in Europe and the United States, offering professionals a remarkably effective tool.

Developed by Dr. Alain Amouyal and Chantal Desmoulins, CAP is a method of psycho-emotional therapy based on graphic expression under musical induction that subtly combines the symbolic and the emotional to catalyze profound and lasting change. It opens direct access to the unconscious and activates powerful processes of transformation and self-healing.

Its longevity and international reach are no coincidence, but rather a testament to its robustness and adaptability. This rich history is inseparable from the humanistic philosophy that has driven it since its inception.
