Did you know that over one hundred men die by su***de in the United States everyday? It’s ok to ask for help.

June is .

Not because men are weak. Not because men need special treatment, But because too many men are carrying things they were never taught how to put down. Many men grow up hearing the same messages:
“Man up.”
“Tough it out.”
“Don’t cry.”
“Handle it yourself.”

So they do.

They carry the financial stress. They carry the pressure of providing. They carry the fear of failing their family. They carry grief they never talk about. They carry relationship struggles, job stress, loneliness, anxiety, depression, and trauma behind a smile that convinces everyone they’re okay. And often, nobody notices. Not because nobody cares. Because they’ve become experts at hiding it.

The statistics are heartbreaking. Nearly 80% of su***de deaths in the United States are men, and men die by su***de at nearly four times the rate of women. Read that again.

Not because men hurt more. Not because life is harder for men, But because too many suffer in silence until they believe silence is their only option.

The strongest man you know may be fighting a battle you cannot see: The dad who never misses work. The husband who always provides. The veteran who jokes through everything. The friend who says, “I’m good.” The coworker who never complains.

Sometimes depression doesn’t look like sadness. Sometimes it looks like anger. Withdrawal. Working nonstop. Sleeping too much. Drinking too much. Shutting down. Losing interest in things they once loved.

If you’re struggling, please hear this:
The pain you’re feeling in the valley today may become a distant memory when you reach the mountaintop tomorrow. A bad season is not a bad life. A hard chapter is not the end of the story.

Talk to someone. A spouse. A friend. A pastor. A parent. A brother. A counselor. You don’t have to carry everything alone.

And for those who love the men in their lives: Check on them. Not with a quick “How are you?” Ask again. Ask the friend who never talks about himself. Ask the dad who is always worried about everyone else. Ask the husband who says he’s just tired. Ask the son who suddenly seems distant. Sometimes one conversation is enough to remind someone they matter.

This June, let’s stop telling men to be tougher. Let’s remind them they don’t have to be.

🚂 The Train Theory

Life is often compared to a train ride. People board our train at different stations. Some stay for just a few stops, while others ride alongside us for years. Along the way, there are moments of joy, laughter, celebration, heartbreak, and loss. Some passengers leave quietly. Others leave an impact so great that their seat never quite feels empty.

What the Train Theory teaches us is that every person who steps onto our train matters. Every conversation, every act of kindness, every moment spent listening can make a difference in someone’s journey. Sometimes we get so focused on reaching the next station that we forget to look around at the people sharing the ride with us. We assume they’ll always be there. We assume they know they’re valued. This is your reminder to check on your fellow passengers.

Send the text.
Make the call.
Invite them to coffee.
Tell them you’re proud of them.
Remind them they matter.

Because while we can’t control when someone boards or leaves our train, we can make sure they know they were seen, appreciated, and loved while they were here. At Austin’s Army, we believe no one should have to ride life’s train alone.

💚 Be kind.
💚 Check in.
💚 Listen.
💚 Stay connected.

“The journey is better when we look out for the passengers around us.” 🚂💚

⚽💜 What a season it has been for our Austin’s Army 8U soccer team!

Today marked their final regular season game. While the scoreboard wasn’t in our favor, these kiddos showed something far more important all season long: heart, determination, teamwork, and the courage to keep going even when things got tough.

We had several players who were brand new to the game this year, and watching their growth from the first practice to today has been incredible. They learned new skills, built confidence, made friendships, and discovered what it means to be part of a team.

To celebrate a season well played, we presented our coaches and players with small tokens of appreciation. Our coaches received custom keychains as a thank-you for their time, patience, and dedication. Our players received personalized soccer cleat-shaped cups, generously created by Cleat Cup! We hope they enjoy them as a reminder of all the memories made this season!

A huge thank you to our families, coaches, and supporters for helping these young athletes grow both on and off the field. Being part of a team teaches resilience, confidence, connection, and belonging—all things that are so important for positive mental health.

Now let’s rally behind these kids as they head into their tournament next week! ⚽

Drop some good luck wishes in the comments and help us cheer them on! 💜🍀
