The East Liverpool-Fawcett Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation which was named for Thomas Fawcett, who helped to found East Liverpool in 1798. Apply for funding from the East Liverpool-Fawcett Community Foundation

The East Liverpool-Fawcett Community Foundation welcomes donations in any amount. Because online payment services charge a fee, we don’t use them. Instead, checks or money orders may be made out to the EL-FCF and mailed to Post Office Box 458, East Liverpool, Ohio 43920. You can also instruct your bank or financial institution to make monthly donations as auto-payments from your account. No routing number is needed, and these can be mailed to the aforementioned address. Please ensure that your name, address and the word “donation” appear in the memo line. All donations are 100% tax-deductible and you will be promptly provided with a grateful acknowledgement of your donation. You can provide this to your tax advisor. East Liverpool-Fawcett Community Foundation awards nearly $32K in grants to 12 recipients

The East Liverpool-Fawcett Community Foundation officers and directors held their annual members meeting Sept 13 at the law offices of Foundation Secretary Jackman S. Vodrey (director for St. Clair Township).

Officers and directors (and the organization or East Liverpool City Ward they represent) are as follows: President Dr. Marc D. Hoffrichter (East Liverpool Chamber of Commerce), Vice President Burl D. Warrick, Secretary Jackman S. Vodrey (St. Clair Township), Treasurer Robert J. Gardner, J. David Buzzard (Liverpool Township), Teresa L. Crawford (Ward 3), Joan A. Dodds (United Way), Steven K. Hager, (Ward 1), Nancy J. Hanselman (Ward 4), Mario H. Hernandez (East Liverpool school board), Mary Ann Hogue (Ward 2), Pastor Larry R. Rose (East Liverpool Ministerial Association) and Robin J. Tokorcheck (East Liverpool mayor’s office).

Grants totaling $31,805 were awarded to 12 local organizations and agencies, as follows: City of East Liverpool Spay & Neuter program ($2,605), East Liverpool High School Band & Band Boosters ($3,000), East Liverpool Historical Society ($2,985), Kent State East Liverpool Students Occupational Therapy Assistant Program ($2,985), Boy Scouts Troop #2012 ($3,000), Museum of Ceramics ($2,605), Red Pride Band Boosters – BLSD ($3,000), United Way of Southern Columbiana County ($2,580), Upper Ohio Valley Museum and Learning Center at the Lou Holtz Hall of Fame ($1,845), Valley Parish Nurse Ministry Inc. ($1,660), Westgate Middle School Music/Band ($3,000), and Westgate Middle School Robotics Team ($2,540).

Donations to the Foundation can be sent to ELFCF, P. O. Box 458 East Liverpool, OH 43920.

Memberships cost $10 per year, with Life-time memberships set at a one-time donation of $500.

Grant applications to be considered at next year’s meeting must be received by July 31, 2024. Interested local area, non-profit organizations with 501 (c) (3) status may apply online at the Foundation’s website at www.TheFawcettFoundation.com. Paper applications are no longer accepted.
