MSU Avian Science Club

MSU Avian Science Club We are the Avian Science Club for the Department of Animal Science at Michigan State University

ASC provides members with the opportunity to receive hands on experience with raising poultry, as well as networking with professionals in the industry at international and national conferences. We currently do one big fundraiser each year, The Annual Turkey Fundraiser. The money raised from these sales is used to send students to the International Poultry Exposition (IPPE). At IPPE students parti

cipate in the college program where they submit resumes and are matched with potential employers for interviews. In addition to sending students to IPPE, the club invites poultry companies in the Midwest to come and speak at Club meetings. We also promote the Midwest Poultry Consortium, a college program for students to take poultry specific classes.

To those who usually buy our turkeys for our Turkey Sale, unfortunately we will not be selling any this year. We hope in the years following years we will be able to however, due to the small number of members this year we will not. 🦃🐥🐓
