MSU Aikido Club

MSU Aikido Club Established in 1973, the MSU Aikido Club offers Aikido to Michigan State University students, faculty, staff, their families and alumni.

Established in 1973, the MSU Aikido Club offers classes to students of all levels of experience. Practices are held in the Michigan State University Intramural (IM) West building in the Judo Room. The IM West is located south of Red Cedar Road and is just west of Spartan Stadium. If you are not a current MSU student, please contact us ahead of time for free passes to the building. Practice times:
Tuesday and Thursday: 7:00 pm-8:00 pm
Sunday: 2:00-3:00 pm

Osu! Anyone interested in trying the MSU Aikido Club is welcome to come and participate in class. Classes are from 7pm to 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 2pm to 3pm on Sundays in the IM West Martial Arts Room. If you wish to participate, please wear something to exercise in, including something that covers your knees. Osu!

Osu! MSU Aikido Club's sensei, Rich Feight-sensei, began studying Aikido at Lansing Community College in 1992. His rank is a jun-nidan, received June 2018. He currently teaches at Michigan State University. He previously taught at Lansing Community College and Spartan Youth Aikido. Osu!

Osu! Due to the IM West changing hours there will be no class on Tuesday August 19th. The MSU Aikido club will meet on Thursday from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Classes will resume their regular schedule of Tuesday and Thursdays at 7 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. Osu!
