Please join MSU Aikido in honor of Jerome Helton-sensei on Sunday, July 26th for an afternoon of memorial events.
Jerome sensei was a long-time student, senior, and instructor under Takashi Kushida-Sensei. He was instrumental in inviting Kushida-sensei to the United States, thus making it possible for AYANA to be created. Helton-sensei introduced Aikido to countless students through clubs that he taught throughout Michigan. He passed away on February 25th, 2014.
A memorial class will be at MSU Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) in mat room 1050 at 2:00pm followed by a meet-up for toasts and a meal at a local restaurant (TBD) at 3:30pm
