The Charlie Waller Legacy fund was recently created to provide financial assistance to families facing financial difficulties as a result of having a child with a life-limiting condition or who have had a child die of any cause. Named in honor of Charlie Waller, who died of terminal brain cancer terminal brain cancer at age 5, this fund supports children with life limiting illness and their famili

es. The emotional distress of caring for or losing a child is too often made worse by financial hardship. Many caregivers have to take time off work or give up their jobs to look after their child. Many lack the resources to make necessary improvements in their home for children with special needs. And, parents who have lost a child often do not have the ability to take time off work to grieve together. The Charlie Waller Legacy Fund was formed because Charlie's family recognized that too many parents had to endure the additional pain and anxiety caused by these financial shortfalls.
