Michigan FFA Association

Michigan FFA Association FFA prepares students to fulfill the growing diversity & new opportunities in agriculture. We take pride in our agriculture and education backgrounds.

The Michigan FFA Association is an intra-curricular agricultural education program. We began in 1929 when we were federally chartered with the National FFA Organization – the United States largest federally chartered youth organization. Paired with classroom learning, FFA leadership and the supervised agricultural experience program, students are provided with the skills to pursue over 300 careers

in the science, business and technology of agriculture. Although our agricultural roots run deep the Michigan FFA Association is Michigan’s foremost youth advocacy association – developing strong leaders and creating lifelong learners. Our main focus is developing premier leadership, personal growth and career success in Michigan’s youth through an integrated education process.

The Michigan FFA State Officer Team hit the road for a Business & Industry Tour, traveling across the state to connect with agricultural professionals and learn more about the many careers and industries that make Michigan agriculture possible!

From exploring Gordon Food Service, learning about dairy at Country Fresh, and seeing the apple industry firsthand at PG Orchards, to wrapping up the day with dinner and conversation with Kent County Farm Bureau. We gained new perspectives, asked questions, and made connections that will stick with us long after the tour.

A huge thank you to each of the businesses and professionals who welcomed us, shared their stories, and invested in the next generation of agriculture.

The 2026 Dairy Judging and Showmanship contest is in the books!

This past week, Michigan FFA members demonstrated their knowledge of the dairy industry through cattle evaluation, oral reasons, and showmanship.

We are proud of every member who stepped into the ring and represented their chapter. Thank you to everyone who came out to compete, and congratulations on your hard work and dedication throughout the event.
