Hosted by the Michigan State University student organization Spartans for the Cure™, the event earned a profit just below $17,000. In October 2012, Spartans for the Cure™ put on their second annual Go Green Wear Pink event raising just under $20,000 and earning a profit of over $7,500. To date over $24,000, all profit earned through Go Green Wear Pink, has been donated to the Mid-Michigan Affiliat
e of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Going into its 3rd year, Go Green Wear Pink continues to grow and expand. This year we’ve teamed up with MSU Stores to distribute our shirts online. Shirts will be available very soon for online purchase from www.shopmsu.edu. This will be our first year having a shipping option and we hope to reach even more Spartan alumni and fans throughout the state and the country! In addition to online sales, Spartans for the Cure will be putting on our traditional Go Green Wear Pink week. Shirts will be available on Michigan State’s campus at the Rock and near Wells Bridge Monday-Friday from 10AM-4PM during the week of October 21-25. In addition to our shirts, there will also be additional opportunities to support the Go Green Wear Pink campaign including, a 50/50 raffle, on campus events, a Buffalo Wild Wings Fundraiser, Peppino’s Pink Out Party, and Rick’s GGWP Halloween Kickoff Party.
